Double Diamond Athletic Club is proud to support local charities that benefit children and families with extraordinary needs.

Members are invited to participate in our innovative giving program. DDAC members may donate to the DDAC Charitable Fund through their membership dues on a monthly basis or through a one-time gift.

On a quarterly basis, 100% of the money in the fund is distributed to designated local charities. Over the past few years, we have donated nearly $30,000 to local groups. The DDAC Charitable Fund is administered by the Reno Rodeo Foundation which is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt charity.

Double Diamond Athletic Club is the only gym in Reno that combines the giving power of our members, staff and ownership to support local kids in need and improve the health of our community. Please complete and return the form to the Club to get started.

Back-Pack Kids Program

Learn more about the Food Bank and Back-Pack Kids

Back-Pack Kids is a Food Bank of Northern Nevada program that provides nutritious, easy-to-prepare weekend food for elementary school children in Washoe County School District’s Children in Transition (CIT) program. Children who have been identified as CIT’s are homeless. This means that they live in a motel, with friends or on the streets.

Children are discreetly given the food in regular backpacks, allowing them to avoid embarrassment and the stigma associated with needing assistance. Providing these children with good nutrition over the weekends helps them return to school ready to learn. Backpacks are distributed at schools with high numbers of Children in Transition. The Food Bank currently distributes about 340 backpacks every week.

Together we can make a difference to children and families who need our support.

DDAC also supports local service clubs, school groups and fund raising events with donated services. We give away $60,000 yearly in Membership and Kids Services.

We typically donate a 3 Month Adult Membership, Parisi Speed School and Swim lessons evaluations valued at $280.
